1989 was a special year for the USS Helena CL-50 as it marked the
50th anniversary since her commissioning 18 September 1939.

It was fitting to have this reunion in Helena, Montana

The February 1989 Newsletter follows a short article from
the Helena Independent Record.

At the bottom of the first page, the number of members is noted as 559 with 178 from the CA 75

In the second page Bill Bunker is wondering about a
lack of response from the SSN 725.

This situation must have been resolved by the time the 1989 Organization Muster
was printed because Capt Thomas W Moore is listed as being a member from SSN 725.

The front cover and inside cover of the 1989 Roster appear at the bottom of this page.
Within its 72 pages are names of 570 members
