Elizabeth A Ridgway was an investigator within
the Office of the Quartermaster General and wrote the following summary titled
Change in Date and Place of Death.

The first document states the crew status as of the date of the report ( 1 April 1948 ).
Lt Law was KIA 2 April 1945, Sgt Ray Hopper returned to the United States,
and the other 9 are KIA 26 May 1945.

Current terminology at this time would state their status as KIA - RNR :
Killed in Action
Remains Non-Recoverable.
